Margifox Distributors, a leading Australian distributor of premium hair care and beauty products, was seeking to enhance their online trade offering by migrating from Magento to Shopify Plus. The primary objectives were to leverage Shopify Plus's advanced B2B functionalities and seamlessly integrate their e-commerce platform with their MYOB Advanced ERP system to synchronise trade pricing and inventory data, and automate sales order processing. In addition to the platform migration and ERP integration, Margifox also required several custom features and functionalities to tailor the Shopify store to their specific business needs. These included a dedicated trade portal with features like invoice viewing, and personalised dashboards, along with functionalities for handling trade-specific pricing, loyalty tiers, and medical product restrictions. The project presented a complex challenge that required expertise in both Shopify Plus development and MYOB Advanced integration. The project involved: Migration to Shopify: The existing Magento store was migrated to Shopify, capitalising on the advanced B2B features and intuitive interface that is encompassed within the Shopify Plus plan. MYOB Advanced Integration: The Shopify store was seamlessly integrated with MargiFox's MYOB Advanced ERP system using InSyncer, a custom Shopify app developed by CyberWorkshop. Data Synchronisation: The integration enabled real-time synchronisation of crucial data between Shopify and MYOB Advanced, including: Trade-specific pricing Inventory levels Sales orders Custom Development: The project included the development of several custom features and functionalities, such as: Trade Portal: A dedicated portal for trade customers with features like SKU search, invoice viewing, and personalised dashboards. Trade-Specific Product Visibility: The ability to control product visibility based on customer type (trade vs. public). Loyalty Tier Display: Dynamic display of customer loyalty tier information based on their spending. Medical Product Restrictions: Implementation of restrictions on medical product visibility and purchase based on customer qualifications. CSV Order Upload: Functionality for trade customers to upload bulk orders via CSV files.
