Overview
To connect InSyncer with MYOB Acumatica, you will need a user with an API license. This guide explains how to create an API user and connect InSyncer with MYOB Acumatica, as well as the impact of changes to the API user on the InSyncer integration.
To optimise your InSyncer integration, we recommend creating a dedicated user with a full API license specifically for InSyncer usage. Please consult your MYOB partner to ensure that you have the necessary API license provisioned for this purpose.
In case you have a spare Full API license, we suggest using it for InSyncer. However, if you only have a Limited API License available, it can still be utilised; just keep in mind that a spare Full API license may need to be purchased if required.
To maintain a seamless connection between InSyncer and MYOB Acumatica, we strongly advise against sharing the API user details with any other third-party applications. This precaution ensures uninterrupted functionality and security for your integration.
Creating a New API User
In MYOB Acumatica, navigate to Users, and click "+ Create a new user."
Create Login Name: InSyncerAPI
Clear the "Generate Password" checkbox and enter the password manually in the Password box.
Check the "Allow Password Recovery," "Allow Password Changed," and "Password Never Expires" checkboxes.
Although the API user does not require email communication, MYOB Acumatica requires an email address when creating a new user. For this purpose, you can use any placeholder email address, e.g., insyncerapi@insyncer.com.
Please note that it is not an actual email address, just a placeholder.
Selecting Roles for the API User
Ensure this user has an Administrator role selected:

Select License Type
Under License Types ensure the user is setup as a Full User (Full API) or Limited API license

Key Points:
· We recommend creating a dedicated API user specifically for this integration
· A Full API license is preferred, though a Limited API License can work
· Don't share these API credentials with other third-party applications
· If you need to change the password later, remember to update it in the integration settings too
